Designed as a personal challenge to create something new and unseen, this project deepened my understanding of fabric manipulation and material interaction. Constructed from woven heavyweight denim and secured with 68 steel screws, the design features articulated pauldrons (shoulders), counters (elbows), and a breastplate (chest) that mimic the movement of real armor plates sliding past one another. The pattern comprised 177 individual pattern pieces and took one month from initial concept to first sample.
